Instagram's stance on impersonation
Impersonation is when someone assumes the identity of another person to harass or defraud them. It can also include behaviours such as creating fake accounts or hijacking accounts, usually with the intent of targeting an individual.
Instagram will only respond to impersonation reports sent to them from the person who's being impersonated or a representative of the person who's being impersonated. If someone you know is being impersonated, please encourage that person to report it.
