Incapacitation

Sometimes in life, people may be unable to function as they normally would and/ or do things that they don't intend to because of ill mental health. Where a social networking site depends on a problem being reported by the victim, rather than a bystander, this can result in issues with processing reports if the victim is unable to submit a report themself. That said, most commonly used social networks recognise that in the case of incapacitation this may not be possible and have implemented  policies which allow others (e.g. legal guardians) to make reports on an incapacitated persons behalf. These same policies are also commonly used when a user needs to report content where the person concerned is deceased.
