How you can report harmful content online
We aim to empower anyone who has encountered harmful content online to self-report it by providing up-to-date information on community standards and direct links to the correct reporting facilities across multiple platforms.
We studied the community guidelines of several different platforms and found that these types of harms are most likely to violate terms. We can also offer further specialist advice and support when reporting these harms, if necessary.

Reviewing reports of harmful content
From 1st April 2025, Report Harmful Content will be adjusting its operations. While we remain dedicated to guiding individuals on how to report online harm, our ability to support in the direct reporting and escalation of online content will be significantly reduced. We will continue to review reports of harmful content and escalate content to industry partners if the content is found to violate community guidelines.
If you have already submitted a harmful content report to social media and have received an unsatisfactory reply (e.g. the harmful content has not been removed or addressed), we can review responses to reports about the types of online harm above.
Please note: Our team will not be able to respond to all enquiries but will review all reports.
