Terrorism is commonly defined as non-governmental organisations that engage in premeditated acts of violence against persons or property to intimidate in order to achieve a political, religious or ideological aim.
Content glorifying terrorism is not tolerated on social media platforms and will commonly contain illegal content. Getting the content removed from online platforms is one part and most commonly used social networking sites will have reporting links for this type of content.
However, another part is the intelligence around the people or groups posting the content and this needs to reach a centralised law enforcement database so that the offline element can be fully investigated.
